Several robust crystals of Tarnowitzite populate a rocky matrix alongside which are smaller, lustrous Calcite crystals and a nice smattering of dark green Mottramite providing some appreciated contrast! Tarnowitzite, or Plumboan Aragonite, was first found in Poland, but the best material has always hailed from the famed and defunct Tsumeb Mine! One of the richest ore bodies in the world, the Tsumeb Mine produced millions of tons of metallic ores as well as numerous varieties of minerals, in all sorts of combinations! This is an unusual piece, for sure. Gotta love Tsumeb minerals… I know I do!
