Wulfenite on Barite specimens from Maonping Mine, Sichuan Province, China

Two excellent Wulfenite specimens featuring dozens of interesting ocatahedral crystals! This is about as far from the norm for Wulfenite as I’ve ever seen! Not the Mexican bipyramidal form, and definitely not the classic window-pane tabular form the species is best known for… Not even blocky cubic crystals! These really do appear to be octahedral in nature! I have never seen Wulfenite like this before… Highly recommended, and better in person! I got some myself and I’m blown away by the forms I see under my loupe!
